The Good
* Jack of all trades...
o Has many, many tools/features for users to use including but not limited to registry cleaner, junk/disk cleaner, disk defrag, startup manager, file undelete, secure delete, and EXE password protector.
* Almost no learning curve.
* Automatically creates backups before doing any changes to registry and gives user options to create automatic backups for other tools such as the junk/disk cleaner.
* Has a '1-click' system maintenance option.
* You can schedule times when maintenance will run automatically.
* Each tool/features/module is treated as if it is independent of the others so user can use multiple modules as the same time.
* "WinUtilities Registry Backup" creates non-proprietary .REG backups so user can restore without needing WinUtilities.
* "WinUtilities History Cleaner" has a "plugin" feature which users can use to define custom files/folders to delete.
The Bad
* ...but master of none.
o Uninstall manager is simplistic and not much different than the normal uninstaller run by Windows/programs.
o Memory optimizer is the stereotypical, useless memory-overloading type.
o "History Cleaner" (aka privacy cleaner) only supports Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome by default.
o Startup manager does not have the ability to delay startup programs.
o "File Undelete" is a simple MFT reader.
* Lacks a file encryption tool.

Winutilities being a giveawayoftheday for at least 2 times now, this being the third time, many here who have tried this surely will give very useful and intelligent comments.
The Winutilities version right now installed in my computer is 7.1, and this newer version is an improvement, they have corrected the error message I always see on starting it, and also some improvement in the GUI, making selection easier with a blank square to check instead of a red x mark,which is rather cofusing.
I have been using version 6, then ugraded to version 7, and now will upgrade it to 9. This software has never give me any problem on compatibility with any of my softwares, which also included Tune Up Utiliies, Advanced System Care Pro, Registry Booster, Gary Utilities Pro, Quicksys RegCleaner 2009. These are all Giveawayoftheday softwares except for Advanced System Care Pro, and Registry Booster. Tune-up Utilities 2008 is not a giveawayoftheday software, but anyway, it is also freely available. I usually clean by computer of trash weekly running through all of these one after the other. What is special with Winutilities is that you can choose to turn off your computer automatically after it has done all the cleaning and defragging. While I usually do my defragging with more specialized software, I sometimes have to use it for automatic shutdown. And also, it does detect and defrag usb portable drives, or usb stick. My Advanced System Care Pro will soon expire, and I do not think I will need it when I have Winutilities and Tune up Utilities, they clean as adequately as Advanced System Care Pro, and why buy a software that expires, when I have an equally good one free.
While some people here do not like the idea of registry cleaning, I use Winutilities mainly for registry cleaning. My experience with registry cleaning has been good, keeping my computer fast and clean, quick shutdown, quick start, and few error messages. I also defrag my registry every now and then with Gary Utilities Pro or NTREGOPT.

There is some talk here about Perfect Utilities, which i have used in the past, but if you read their forum (others have provided links to their site) you'll see a discussion about spyware included with the latest version. The discussion started weeks ago and has continued without any denial or any other sort of acknowledgment from the developers. So my advice is to steer clear of PU for now.

I have exactly the same problem as #13.
Uninstalled 7.1 then received the same messages when installing 9.1. Also at one point the blue screen of death on my Vista machine.
