This program is still offering Adobe Flash as an update. That is no longer supported, and in fact, Adobe wants people to uninstall it.

chances are this uses same updates discovery as Dumo does by just harvesting ALL the software version numbers it finds to its server side database and then assumes the highest reported version number shown by N number of users is probably the latest version and it then tells you if your installed version is lower than the guessed latest version from the harvested and phoned home data... Requires very little human intervention but is vulnerable to version spoofing and do end users really consent to having Kyle build a database of all software and versions of that software installed on their systems? I doubt they have made informed consent choice!

It has no relationship with installed applications developers and has no mechanisim to confirm that the mined version numbers are even legitimate for any given claimed installed program.

One thing I do not like, the 'Updates' listed are it seems true. However, they do not take into account licensed products. I do not always 'buy' the most recent version when the old one works fine for me.

I also think it doesn't determine the proper version of a program, many have both 32 and 64 bit versions and not all are updated at the same time?

For instance, I've not PAID to update my Acronis True Image 2020 to the 2021 version, and it reports this:

Acronis True Image Home Acronis 24.7.1.38530 Update available (25.8.1.39216)

For my release, .38530, it is the latest 2020 version.

I have many programs listed, and many are licensed versions that do not get updates other than for the time period that is allowed.

I have a lot to look at, I wouldn't blindly update before checking.

This is a just a detector and nothing will be installed. Actually, you do not need any of these updates if your computer is running smooth. Update is for new installs of hardware and not for your old audio, video, and other already installed cards. Update may and it will not work on old hardware if the manufacturer has not made an update. The drivers, in my opinion, must be written by the manufacturer of the hardware and not a third party.
