Dacă trebuie să trimiteți informații private prin intermediul internetului, atunci ar trebui să criptați aceste informații înainte de a le trimite. Dar ce se întâmplă cu persoana care le primește? Silver Key produce fișiere criptate (sau porțiuni) ce sunt ideale pentru a trimite date private prin intermediul unui canal nesigur, cum este internetul. Porțiunile Silver Key se extrag singure, astfel că persoana care primește datele nu trebuie să aibă programul instalat pentru a decripta fișierul trimis de dvs. Iar crearea unei porțiuni cu Silver Key este incredibil de ușoară. Tot ce trebuie să faceți este un click dreapta pe fișier sau pe un director și să selectați ‘Create Parcel’. Silver Key va crea un fișier criptat, pe care îl puteți încărca pe un server de internet sau îl puteți pur și simplu atașa într-un email. Silver Key folosește redutabila criptare Advanced Encryption Standard pentru a vă proteja datele, cu criptarea sa pe 256 de biți ce depășește de departe cerințele HIPAA.

60% THUMBS DOWN but no comments so far about the software performance?
The idea behind this tool is GOOD, namely sending encrypted sensitive data over the WEB by using self-extracting "parcels" so that the recipient is not obligated to buy any software to decrypt them.
So just for this unique feature I give it a THUMBS UP!
Does this mean I would pay 30 bucks for an app like this?

"Self-decrypting" does not mean that it can be decrypted without the password. It means that the parcel does not require installing any decryption software on the receiving side.

There are two kinds of parcels: self-decrypting (executable), and standard (non-executable).
Self-decrypting parcel is a small decryptor program with attached encrypted data. The recipient simply double-clicks it to decrypt, no other software is needed.
Standard parcel contains only encrypted data. In order to decrypt it, the recipient needs to install Silver Key (free edition will do).
Self-decrypting parcels are most convenient, but they sometimes get blocked during transfer (some mail servers don't allow executable attachments). Standard parcels never get blocked, but the recipient needs to install decrypting software.
