Installed and registered(?) without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system.

A (Russian?) company without name and address, claiming in the copyright to be on the market since 2005. The programs history goes back to 2011. The articles show an article about tor and a second one, which cannot be loaded. A joke:

"I have tried so many anonymous surfing programs and Mask Surf is by far the best one out there. It is so great because it changes the IP address to different ones, not the same one each time"

I installed the program, the program installs and uses TOR.

"Mask Surf Everything is an advanced online anonymity solution based on the TOR (The Onion Router) platform that allows you to go online through a network of secure tunnels and makes your identification simply impossible." To this claim google vulnerability of TOR.

After installation, I could not see, whether the software is registered. I could not see anything about license time (one year???). I could not start the browser, because it does not work with a portable browser. I even had to reboot in order to get my portable Firefox working again. So my screenshots had been lost.

It is sometimes difficult to be polite. This software is nothing else, than a modified front end to TOR. I cannot see any reason to use this instead of TOR. It did not work with a special country list in my first test. In a second test it blocked my browser. I am sometimes really happy to test this in a virtual environment.

Did not work for me. Uninstalled via reboot. Be careful, whom you trust in questions of your anonymity.

I'm suspicious of the effectiveness of this program - a quick & dirty test of "ShieldsUp" on GRC.com had NOT hidden my service provider address.... Just like so many other alleged "Hide my Arse" programs.

The Tor anonymous network has thousands of anonymous servers. Each time you will get 3 random servers for anonymous circuit. One time it can be very fast servers and other time very slow one.

IE8 has InPrivate Browsing.
Google Chrome has New Incognito Window (top left corner has a spy cartoon graphic + border is dark grey).

So how is this software MaskSurfEverything better?

I think there are at least 2 aspects:
1) you surf but don't want to leave traces behind in the PC that you surfed certain sites.

2) you surf but don't want the people elsewhere on the Internet figuring out where you are browsing from; i.e. you want to hide your IP address.

The private mode in modern browsers doesn't provide you a lot of options.

1)It doesn't hide your IP adress.
2)It doesn't hide your geographic location.
3)It doesn't encrypt your traffic so even your ISP can't see it.

The private browser mode is about surfing without traces on a local PC.
