Nope, despite Device manager seeing the damaged cards iCare never even found the cards.

Do anyone knows howto or got and idea on how to preserve these giveaways for later use ? the problem as most will know is with program such as this you hope not to have to use on a regular basis but when something goes wrong you certainly happy to have it handy but downloading from this site means you have to install and register the program the same day and if you are not very discerning you can soon end up with a full desktop of programs , so if there is a way to register a program and keep it for further use elsewhere when needed it would be a great gift if someone can share it , hope i am not asking for anything illegal .

Jerry, yes thanks but by publishing howtos will damage giveawayoftheday.com business model and force them to devise even more restrictive protection systems that will make life even more difficult for everyone.
Though I think you are misunderstanding the giveaway model. you don't just get a 1 day full feature license! You normally get a full feature license valid indefinatly or for a specified period, 6 or 12 months for example... this means you should be able to use the program at a later date when you need it IF you install it and activate it and run it today to confirm it was properly activated.
Personally I have several desktops worth of programs installed on this laptop (1091 items in programs and features uninstall applet plus many portable and stand alone utilities), most do not reside on my desktop and I have 3 icon spaces left LOL
