Install and run History Killer. THEN run cCleaner and you'll see that History Killer, uh, doesn't. In fact, it leaves quite a bit behind, and not just the stuff that it doesn't know about but that you can customize cCleaner to learn. Nope, all sorts of IE, FireFox, & temp file stuff as well.
So, let's see... you cannot customize it, and it doesn't work for the stuff that it DOES know about; at least not as much as cCleaner, and they want you to pay for the privilege of using it?

While CCleaner is a fine program, it is not a fix all!!!
I have that and others like it on my computer, what one does not find, the other does.
Every time one of these programs is offered, someone always has to reply about CCleaner being the ONLY one you'll EVER need. Simply not true.

* Straightforward and easy to use.
* Nice aesthetically pleasing interface.
* Supports Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome.
* In addition to the usual Windows cleaning, clears history from Google Toolbar, Windows Media Player, Paint, Wordpad, Adobe Flash Player, and Microsoft Office products (2007/2003).
* Has the ability to securely delete history.
* Has a handy ability to automatically clean browser history (IE, FF, Opera, and Chrome) upon exit.
* You can pick and choose what things/files/history to delete.
* Has an exclude list and a search function.
The Bad
* Needs a bit of improvement in cleaning out temporary Internet files for Internet Explorer.
* Does not have a "select all" or "unselect all" feature at the main screen (top level or individual selection/unselection only).
