Installed and registered with problems on a Win 8.1.2 Pro 64 bit system.
In the registration field, they want to know a lot :
Registered users of Filestream software are automatically subscribed to our Newsletter.
An US company with address : FileStream, Inc. is a privately owned corporation headquartered in Glen Head, New York.
After installation, there are many options to choose. I selected nothing and took the default values.
In a first test a 460 Mbyte (not compressible) RAR file was converted to a ZIP file in the nearly same size in 2 min 5 sec.
7zip finished the same operation with a slightly bigger file (+3Mbyte) in 1min 15 sec.
a 208 Mbyte directory with PDF's was converted to a ZIP file by 7zip in 33 sec. The resulting size was 195 Mbyte.
Turbozip finished the same task in 15 sec. The resulting file size was 199 Mbyte. 4 Mbyte more with the highest compression level 9 in the settings.
A complete ZIP program with many features. Does not reach the compression of 7zip in my short test. Useful for multi zip handling.
The claim :
TurboZIP Express maximally compressed files (at LZX Level 21) are 10 to 50% smaller than conventional ZIP and 2 to 10% smaller than ARJ or RAR. gave the following result:
Converting to a CAB file with compression level 21 (see settings!) took 2 Min 40 sec and resulted in a 195 Mbyte file. The same size as with 7zip but 5 times more...
You have to handselect the files, where this program gives some advantage ;-)
I'll keep the freeware 7zip.
Have a nice weekend.

On going to the registration web page I was greeted by a long list of boxes requesting information.
It informed me that I would automatically subscribe to newsletter, no way!
Was intrigued as to how such a high price could be charged when there is so much freeware available so decided to look for a trial version on the web.
Found version 7.2 downloaded and installed; it immediately requested to fill in configuration for the program.
It looks like it could be useful to someone who does a lot of work with file compression, lots of functions. Why don't they give a screenshot of this I can't imagine, it would help users to see what they were getting into.
What I didn't like was that for a trial it would make too many changes such as associations in the registry.
I uninstalled it using an uninstaller and then ran ERUNT to make sure there were no changes to the registry.
In my view this program is far, far too intrusive to test without having a good means of removal, so unless you really need a comprehensive, compression program I would stay away from it.

I beg to disagree with *1 and *5. Yes, some people turn their thumbs down without thinking. But some people might have got some previous experience with the software already and vote based on that.

Maybe the "down voters" know the programme already @1
