Software is good but the registration process is too long and intrusive. They also want to keep all your data like name, e-mail, birth dates etc.

Paul90, I found once I had an account with them, very easy to register new software..yes they need name and email, but who said needs to be proper name or birthdate..I think Franzis just wants to make sure not getting overwhelmed by bots.

CAUTION: Please note that this not the full package or the standard edition. This edition has the word "elements" added to the name.
Typically, we have seen Franzis give the previous version of their products when a new version has been released. The value/regular price for the full COLOR Projects has been $99 on other "giveaway" websites.`
We were first given (at GOTD) the "elements" edition of version 4 on August 14, 2018, and with the retail price set at $69. Ref: https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/color-projects-4-elements/
Even though the version 4 giveaway stated that the regular price was $69, this (v5) edition has the retail value set at $39.
It looks like they are now giving away only the elements edition of their COLOR Projects, and its retail price is dropping.

Summary - it's a bit of fun to try different looks on your images. IMHO worth a look if you're into photography (even quite seriously, as it can be seen as an ideas factory).
If you haven't registered a Franzis program before the first time involves a certain amount of hoop-jumping-though. If you use a real e-mail address subsequent ones are easy. It's worth getting their Newsletter as if you want to buy one of their programs there are frequent large discounts.
Note their programs come in up to three flavours (Elements, standard and Pro) and the pricing can be all over the place with offers, also they keep selling older versions so pay attention to what you're getting (Color Projects 6 Pro is the current whizziest).
Their English web site has fallen behind on comparisons, but you can compare 5 elements with the standard version of 5:
https://www.projects-software.com/compare/2/77,76/color-projects-5-elements-vs-color-projects-5
In this version you don't get the Expert tab, which is handy if you really want to optimise something, but 99% of people won't care. Some people may miss the Raw option, but last I looked they weren't up-to-date with camera support even on the latest products.
BTW (I haven't used 5 Elements as I have a later version, but this is what they do) note the first dialog box when saving will be to crop the image and the text box is for text to write over the image. The file-name is given after you click past that.
Think of it as a souped up Instagram filter, allowing many looks and also adding colour film emulation on top of the looks so you can have nearly endless combinations.

Followed the back-and-forth directions (in README.TXT) to achieve successful installation -- thank you, GOTD and Franzis, for this offer.
However, as with installations of previous Franzis Projects titles, on my 4K display (a high-DPI laptop) COLOR projects 5 elements also required a tweak of the "Properties" to make this application much easier to read on screen.
These tweaks have been repeatedly discussed in the past. Here is a link to a forum discussion dealing with the high-DPI issue (towards the end; search for "DPI"; also includes other installation advice):
https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/467145
As many times as this has been brought up in the past, I'm surprised that Franzis has not fixed/updated their applications to work better with increasingly-common high-DPI displays, or added some sort of display monitor screen auto-detect feature to their installer for automating the suggested Property" tweak.
