Regrettably, their idea of marketing their (usually good) products is to spam you - several times a day, even.

Decent products, shame about the company.

Thank you for this excellent offering, GOTD and Ashampoo. WinOptimizer has gotten good reviews and is very well regarded.

Take note, however, that the latest version is WinOptimizer 7, which Ashampoo sells for $49.99 on its site. The new features are listed at http://www2.ashampoo.com/webcache/html/1/product_2_2506___USD.htm. They also still sell version 6 at $39.99.

If you miss today's giveaway, there also is a free version, WinOptimizer 2010 Advanced 6.5, available at http://download.cnet.com/Ashampoo-WinOptimizer-2010-Advanced/3000-18512_4-75021499.html. I have not investigated how it differs from today's giveaway.

Their newest version (WinOptimizer 7) is among the best (though TuneUp is still much better). This version? If you've got another suite (Glary, WinUtilities, AdvancedWindowCare, there won't be much here for you to like.

WinOptimizer 6, btw, seems to be the same as WinOptimizer 2010 and both have been frequent freebies throughout the net; probably even as we speak.

So, why do you want this time-limited version that you'll lose the next time you replace your system when there are free no-limit versions of this floating around? Very good question.
