I've played around with this type of program for some years now, mainly to redesign a room or a level of my house and get a feel of what it will look like. There are some awesome programs out there, but they are mostly very expensive. When I saw the price of this I doubted that it would be up to much, but on a quick look it is pretty good. As #3 points out, you're not going to do any architectural masterpieces, they often need high end programs, but for Joe Average this is going to be useful to do some renovation or redesign.
It has also been pointed out to watch the installation, or you will end up with Ashampoo hijacking your homepage and installing their own toolbar. If there is a purpose to this it should be explained, if not it shouldn't be checked by default. Naughty!!
It also installs/updates Visual C++ Redistributable, which in itself is not a problem to me personally, but might be to others.
Registration is a 2 part thing. Give your email address, they send email, you reply and you are transported to a page to fill in some details which are optional. I left it with the email addy I used and my country, no more, and I was passed to a page and the registration key.
Start the program, copy/paste key and it was good to go. A little bit of Nagware about upgrade, but for a freebie I can live with that.
I'll have a proper play with it later, I've got a project in mind for it.

Thanks, GOTD. :o) I've been looking at this proggie for a while now.
Installs & works fine on Vista 32bit. Be sure to UNcheck the boxes during install to have Ashampoo install their toolbars -- unless you WANT them. LOL!
You'll also need to be sure to use the link in the read-me file in order to get the key for today's program. You'll need to sign up with them with a VALID email account in order to get your key. It will then be found under the "My Free Keys" sction on your account page.
I've been using Ashampoo products for the past 8 years & have had no problems with them at all.
Now,if we could have one of the CAD programs to go with this.... (hint, hint) ;o)
